Robert C. Swanson
Robert C. Swanson is the Attorney and the Founder of Swanson & Perry Attorneys & Counselors. Robert graduated from Michigan State Law School in 1984, and he received the Law School Certificate of Excellence Award in 1981. He went to work for Comerica Bank in their legal department where he worked from 1984-1990. In 1990 he founded Swanson & Perry Attorneys & Counselors. Robert has practiced in all areas of Law but specializes in Criminal Law and Family Law.
James W. Perry
James W. Perry joined Swanson & Perry Attorneys & Counselors in 2009.
James graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1985. James went to work at Sumpter & Perry, P.C. from 1985-1996. He then went to work at the law offices of Andary and Andary P.C. from 1996-1999. Since 2000 James has worked for Jay Trucks and Associates (2000-2007) and the Law office of Lee Steinberg, P.C. (2007-2008) specializing in the areas of personal injury and workers compensation. James has worked on numerous workers compensation trials, and been involved in 4 settlements in excess of $1 million dollars.
Melissa Bigelow
Melissa Bigelow is the Legal Assistant for Swanson & Perry Attorneys & Counselors. Melissa attended Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City, Michigan and is still working on her Associates Degree.
Prior to her arrival at Swanson & Perry Attorneys & Counselors, Melissa held various management positions throughout the community.
